EE Offers Record Low Price for iPhone 17 Pro Amid January Sales

Apple’s latest flagship device, the iPhone 17 Pro, is now being offered at a significantly reduced price by EE, with monthly payments dropping to an attractive £32.29. This deal comes as part of the retailer’s January sales, marking what EE describes as its “best ever price” for the device. Customers can pair this offer with EE’s 150GB Essentials tariff, which has also seen a price reduction, now available for £29 per month instead of £37. This change results in a total savings of £192 over a two-year period.

Under this plan, the overall monthly cost totals £61.29, plus an initial payment of £30. EE also incentivizes customers to trade in their old handsets, offering up to £480 in value. For those who prefer more data, EE provides options that include unlimited data and additional perks such as free subscriptions to Apple TV or Apple Music for a slight increase in monthly fees. The Unlimited All Rounder plan is available for an additional £13 each month.

Despite the appealing discounts, potential customers should be aware of the annual price increases associated with EE’s contracts. The £29 airtime plan is expected to rise to £31.50 in April 2026 and to £34 in April 2027.

As EE introduces this competitive pricing strategy, Sky Mobile has also launched its own iPhone 17 Pro deal. Sky offers the same model for £34 per month with a £12 upfront cost, but this plan comes with a more limited data allowance of just 100MB. Users who require more data will need to upgrade to Sky’s various data plans, which range from £5 for 1GB to £22 for unlimited data.

Both EE and Sky’s offers pertain to the 256GB version of the iPhone 17 Pro, which is available in several colours, including Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue, and Silver. For those opting to purchase the device outright, most retailers, like Amazon and Argos, are charging a standard price of £1,099.

The iPhone 17 Pro is recognized as Apple’s most advanced smartphone to date, featuring a 6.3-inch display, the new A19 Pro chip, and a 48MP camera. At its launch event in California in September 2023, technology editor David Snelling awarded the device a five-star rating, praising its performance and features.

Snelling highlighted the iPhone 17 Pro’s improved processing capabilities, noting that the A19 Pro chip is approximately 50% faster than its predecessor, the A17 Pro. He remarked, “The iPhone 17 Pro packs quite a punch,” praising its longer battery life and exceptional camera capabilities. The device is equipped with three 48MP lenses, including a main, telephoto, and ultra-wide lens, all of which contribute to its enhanced photographic performance.

Furthermore, the ProMotion display, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, now includes improved anti-reflection technology for better outdoor visibility. This year is particularly beneficial for users considering an upgrade to Pro devices, as the advancements over previous models are substantial.

While the iPhone 17 Pro impresses with its features, Snelling noted that its starting price of £1,099 is £300 higher than the standard iPhone 17, which may lead some consumers to consider the more affordable options. The iPhone Air, with its slimmer design, also presents an attractive alternative for those looking to spend less.

Overall, both EE and Sky Mobile are vying for customer attention during this January sales period, offering tempting deals on one of the most sought-after smartphones on the market.
