Executive Producer Envisions All-Stars Edition of The Traitors

Mike Cotton, the executive producer of the popular reality series The Traitors, has expressed interest in developing an All-Stars edition of the show in the future. This revelation comes as the series continues to gain traction, recently recording over 11 million viewers for its celebrity spinoff finale.

Currently, the fourth series of the civilian version has already been filmed and is set to premiere in January 2024. Cotton acknowledged that while there are no immediate plans for the All-Stars format, he is excited about the possibility of reuniting some of the most memorable contestants from past seasons.

Future Aspirations for The Traitors

Cotton highlighted the appeal of bringing back former players, stating, “There have been so many amazing players in the past. Seeing them all come together would be really exciting… of course.” He emphasized that the selection process for contestants is critical, noting that “everyone we pick for The Traitors can hold their own.”

The challenge, according to Cotton, lies in the competitive nature of the show. Even skilled players can be eliminated early, which makes the idea of an All-Stars edition particularly compelling. “To bring back some of those players would be great,” he added. Although Cotton confirmed that plans for such a project are not currently underway, he remains optimistic about its potential in the long-term future.

Upcoming Series and Applications Open

In the meantime, applications for the fifth series of The Traitors are already open, with the new season expected to air in 2027. Additionally, preparations for the second season of The Celebrity Traitors are reportedly at an advanced stage. The success of the show continues to generate interest, and Cotton’s vision for an All-Stars edition could add another exciting layer to the franchise in the years to come.
