Jack Osbourne Reveals He Smuggled Phone on I’m A Celebrity

Jack Osbourne recently admitted to breaking the rules during his time on the reality show I’m A Celebrity. Following his exit from the show, he revealed that he smuggled a burner phone into the jungle, allowing him to stay in touch with his family while producers enforced strict communication bans on contestants.

Osbourne, who was the seventh contestant voted off the show alongside actress Lisa Riley, shared that upon arrival in Australia, he cleverly disguised the burner phone as his primary device when his belongings were confiscated. This violation of the show’s rules is significant, as contestants are prohibited from contacting anyone outside the show to prevent them from gaining an unfair advantage regarding challenges and trials. According to reports, the policy is in place to maintain a level playing field among participants.

In an interview with The Sun, Osbourne explained how he managed to stay connected with his mother, Sharon Osbourne, and his spouse, Aree Osbourne, throughout his time in the jungle. He stated, “I had work to do, I was doing a bunch of s***. I was calling Aree, I was calling my mum, I was calling the kids. I gave them a secondary phone when I landed. I was like: ‘Yeah, there’s my phone.’”

Osbourne’s revelation comes shortly after the announcement of the show’s winner for I’m A Celebrity 2025. The show has a long-standing tradition of keeping contestants isolated from the outside world, a practice that aims to intensify their experiences in the jungle.

In addition to the phone incident, Jack Osbourne shared personal news following his time on the show. He announced that his wife is expecting their second child together, revealing that Aree is currently 28 weeks pregnant. Osbourne expressed that sharing this news with his father, Ozzy Osbourne, before his passing in July 2023, was a cherished moment. He noted that the experience of expecting a child while grieving had been both “healing” and a “healthy distraction.”

Jack reflected on managing his grief, stating, “It’s awesome. I think it’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing. Probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way.” He emphasized how the anticipation of a new family member helped him navigate the emotional challenges following his father’s death.

As the entertainment world continues to follow the unfolding stories from I’m A Celebrity, Osbourne’s candid admission about his time on the show adds a new layer to the ongoing discussion about reality television’s impact on participants and their families.
