Driver Strikes Teenagers in Dudley Robbery; Police Investigate

Detectives have launched an investigation following a robbery in Dudley where two teenage boys were struck by a car. The incident occurred on January 19, 2024, around 14:30 local time, on Pale Street. One of the victims was riding his electric Sur-Ron bike while his friend walked beside him when a grey Volvo collided with them.

The impact of the collision was severe enough to split the bike in half. After the crash, the male driver exited the vehicle, stole the damaged bike, and fled the scene. Fortunately, the victims were not seriously injured despite being knocked to the ground.

West Midlands Police are actively seeking information regarding the incident. A spokesperson for the police described the suspect as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and of a slim-to-medium build. They emphasized the importance of witness accounts, stating, “We’re appealing for witnesses after a teenager was robbed of his electric bike and another assaulted when they were knocked to the floor by a car.”
