UPDATE: A devastating traffic incident in Gillingham, Kent, has resulted in the death of an elderly man after he was struck and carried on the roof of a vehicle for nearly a mile. The shocking crash occurred on the A289 Gads Hill at approximately 12:10 PM on December 29, 2023.
The victim, a man in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities report that he was hit by a grey Mercedes estate driven by Albert Matraxhiu, 28, from North London. Both men are identified as Albanian nationals and are scheduled to appear in court today, January 2, 2024.
