Urgent Alert: Air Quality Data Transfer Halted in Pljevlja

URGENT UPDATE: Data transmission from the air quality monitoring station at “Gagović imanje” in Pljevlja has been halted since December 10, 2023, at 1:00 PM. The Agency for Environmental Protection confirmed the disruption today, raising concerns about air quality data availability.

Officials from the Center for Ecotoxicological Testing (CETI) acted immediately to investigate the situation. They found that all monitoring equipment is functioning properly and that the power supply is stable. The root cause has been identified as an internet connectivity issue, specifically an insufficient signal flow preventing the transmission of collected data to the central server.

Despite multiple attempts to reset the data transfer system, the connection remains unestablished. The Agency reassured the public that all measurements are continuously collected and securely stored in the station’s internal memory (data logger).

“We are working diligently with the internet provider to resolve this issue as swiftly as possible,” stated an agency representative. Once the internet connection is restored, all stored data will be transmitted to the server and made accessible to the public.

This disruption emphasizes the critical need for reliable data transmission in monitoring air quality, which directly impacts public health and environmental safety. Residents are advised to stay tuned for updates as the agency works to rectify the situation.

As developments unfold, the focus remains on restoring connectivity to ensure transparency and access to vital air quality information.
