UPDATE: QNET has just been awarded three prestigious Stevie® Awards at the 22nd Annual International Business Awards, recognizing its impactful anti-scam campaign across West Africa. The awards, presented in October 2025, celebrate QNET’s exceptional efforts to combat fraud and protect consumers in Ghana, Senegal, and Sierra Leone.
The Gold Stevie® Award was given for the campaign titled “QNET Against Scams: Rebuilding Trust Through Crisis Communication and Public Education in Ghana,” winning in the Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Brand / Reputation Management category. A Silver Stevie® Award recognized the same campaign in the Public Service category, while a Bronze Stevie® Award acknowledged QNET’s V-Africa 2025 conference in the Corporate & Community – Community Engagement Event category.
This recognition comes amid rising fraud concerns targeting direct selling companies in emerging markets, with scammers exploiting QNET’s name to deceive West African communities. The six-month initiative launched in Ghana in 2024 and expanded to Senegal and Sierra Leone, aiming to educate citizens about legitimate business practices and protect them from fraudulent schemes.
QNET’s comprehensive consumer education program utilized various platforms, including billboards, radio spots, television ads, and digital campaigns. Teams even took to the streets on roller skates to distribute informational materials in high-traffic areas across multiple regions, including Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Western, Ahafo, Volta, Northern, and Bono.
In a critical move, QNET established a Scam Alert portal allowing consumers to report suspected fraud, while a dedicated WhatsApp reporting line received over 1,000 reports in 2025, leading to 70 cases forwarded for investigation.
QNET’s Chief Marketing Officer, Trevor Kuna, emphasized the importance of these awards as a testament to their ongoing commitment to consumer protection. “These awards validate our efforts to fight back against those who misuse our brand name to defraud others. We are determined to protect the communities in which we operate and rebuild trust with our customers and stakeholders,” he stated.
The International Business Awards evaluated over 3,600 nominations from organizations in more than 60 countries, with more than 230 industry professionals reviewing submissions across various categories.
