Lorraine Kelly Hosts STV Children’s Appeal Live Show, Fundraising Urgent

UPDATE: Renowned TV host Lorraine Kelly is set to lead a live broadcast of the STV Children’s Appeal on November 7, 2025, at 7 PM from its Glasgow headquarters at Pacific Quay. This special program will showcase the vital fundraising efforts of the charity throughout 2025, aiming to raise crucial funds for children and families in need across Scotland.

The STV Children’s Appeal, supported by the Scottish Government and various businesses, has made a significant impact, raising over £37 million since its inception in 2011. Lorraine, a trustee of the Appeal since its beginning, expressed her enthusiasm for the show, stating, “Celebrating all the fundraisers and projects involved in the STV Children’s Appeal is always one of the highlights of my year.”

This year’s broadcast will spotlight three impactful projects: Dundee Bairns, which assists children living in poverty in Dundee; TCCL, helping families with children suffering from cancer or leukaemia in Tayside and north-east Fife; and Happy Place Workshop, an initiative founded by the Glasgow pop duo SAINT PHNX that provides a therapeutic space for children to express emotions through art and music.

In a unique twist, Lorraine will don a special tartan designed by Houston Kiltmakers, featuring the charity’s vibrant color palette. She emphasized the importance of donations, urging viewers, “Every year we’re reminded that the Appeal makes an enormous difference to so many families and communities across Scotland.”

The program will also feature performances from chart-topping artist Nathan Evans and discussions with STV presenters Sean Batty and Laura Boyd, who recently undertook a fundraising challenge on the Isle of Mull. Viewers will be inspired to contribute, knowing that every penny raised will directly support those in need, with all administration costs covered by STV.

With up to £1 million in match funding provided annually by the Scottish Government, this year’s Appeal Show promises to be a pivotal moment for fundraising efforts. First Minister John Swinney will also appear to acknowledge the crucial work being done.
