Kent Man Charged with 38 Child Sex Offences, Including Rape

UPDATE: A Kent man has been charged with an alarming 38 child sex offences, including rape and causing a child to engage in prostitution. Mark South, a Jamaican national from Ashford, appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court in Wiltshire earlier today, December 3, 2023.

The charges against South are extensive and disturbing, consisting of four counts of rape, taking and distributing indecent images of children, as well as blackmail. He is also accused of engaging in sexual communication with a child and causing and inciting a child to participate in sexual activity. The charges are linked to a shocking number of alleged offences committed between January 2021 and December 2024, affecting nine victims.
