David Lynch’s Never-Before-Seen Artworks Arrive at Pace Gallery Berlin

UPDATE: Pace Gallery in Berlin is set to host a groundbreaking solo exhibition featuring never-before-seen artworks by the iconic filmmaker and artist David Lynch, running from January 29 to March 22, 2026. This exhibition marks a significant tribute to Lynch’s artistic legacy just one year after his passing.

In a stunning showcase at a refurbished gas station, co-opened with Galerie Judin, the exhibition will highlight a unique collection of Lynch’s works created between 1999 and 2022. The display promises to delve deep into Lynch’s rich artistic imagination, transcending his celebrated cinematic contributions to explore his roots as a visual artist.

Lynch, renowned for his surreal and often unsettling narratives in films like Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive, first established his artistic voice long before he became a household name. His creativity was nurtured at institutions such as the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where he pioneered his first “moving painting” and film, Six Men Getting Sick (Six Times), in 1967. This seminal work laid the groundwork for his breakout feature, Eraserhead, in 1977.

The upcoming exhibition will feature a diverse array of artworks, including paintings, watercolors in bespoke frames, and three distinctive lamps from Lynch’s previous Pace debut in 2022. Additionally, photographs inspired by Berlin’s industrial landscape will be on display, creating a dialogue between the visual and cinematic aspects of Lynch’s oeuvre. Early short films will also be screened alongside the artworks, enhancing the immersive experience for attendees.

This exhibition is not just a retrospective; it serves as a prelude to a larger survey of Lynch’s lifelong work set to open at Pace’s Los Angeles gallery later this fall. Art enthusiasts and fans alike will have a unique opportunity to engage with Lynch’s multifaceted artistic vision, showcasing the profound impact he has had on both the art world and popular culture.

As anticipation builds for the unveiling of this never-before-seen collection, art lovers are encouraged to prepare for an unforgettable experience at Pace Gallery Berlin.
