Bristol Shoplifter Sentenced to Prison After Latest Offense

UPDATE: A notorious shoplifter from Bristol, Brandon Weyman, has been sentenced to prison after reoffending just days after a previous warning. The 32-year-old now faces a total prison sentence of 16 months following his latest convictions.

Weyman was sentenced on November 25, 2025, to a 12-month jail term after being found guilty of 27 theft charges from various shops in Bristol. His offenses occurred between October 20 and November 18, leading to a suspended sentence issued just days earlier on November 20. This suspended sentence allowed him the opportunity to avoid jail time, provided he did not reoffend during the 18-month period.

However, within mere days, Weyman was caught committing additional thefts. He has since pleaded guilty to five more thefts and violating a Criminal Behaviour Order, resulting in an additional four months in prison. This new sentence will run concurrently with his initial term, bringing his total time behind bars to 16 months.

Neighborhood Inspector Richard Jones expressed the seriousness of Weyman’s actions, stating, “Because Weyman has a flagrant disregard for people and their property, he has reoffended during the operational period of his suspended sentence and has therefore gone straight to prison.” He emphasized the dedication of local law enforcement in pursuing prolific offenders to ensure justice is served.

The swift action taken against Weyman highlights the ongoing challenges retailers face in Bristol, with many suffering due to his repeated offenses. The police are committed to protecting both businesses and their employees from such criminal activities.

As this situation unfolds, authorities urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. The community’s safety remains a top priority, and law enforcement continues to take rigorous measures against repeat offenders like Weyman.
