The construction of the road section from Slijepač Bridge to Berane has been successfully completed, achieving its goal within the planned timeframe. The total length of this new road is 35 kilometers, according to Irfan Alomerović, an engineer with the construction company Bemax.
This section presented significant challenges, requiring a total reconstruction of the roadway, the rehabilitation of tunnels, and the restoration of seven bridges. Additionally, the project involved drainage regulation and the stabilization of landslides and slopes. Alomerović highlighted that despite the difficult terrain and a tight schedule, the project was completed as planned.
In his statement, Alomerović noted, “Today we have a modern main road that meets all standards and regulations.” He expressed gratitude to the investors, supervisors, subcontractors, and all participants involved in this successful project.
He also acknowledged the patience and understanding of local residents who have supported the construction efforts from the beginning. The completion of this road section is expected to significantly improve transportation and accessibility in the region, enhancing connectivity for both residents and businesses.
The investment in modern infrastructure reflects ongoing efforts to develop and upgrade road networks, which are crucial for economic growth and community development.
