Sky Offers 4K Smart TVs for Just £4.25 Before Deadline

Sky is offering an attractive promotion for customers looking to purchase a 4K smart television, with a limited-time deal available until 11:59 PM on February 11. The Sky Glass Air is now priced at just £4.25 per day when combined with a Sky TV subscription starting at £15. This package allows customers to enjoy a 43-inch 4K TV along with access to hundreds of channels and free Netflix, bringing the total cost to £21.

This promotion is part of the final phase of Sky’s winter sale, featuring significant discounts not seen before. Customers could save up to £168 if they opt for the larger model. A more advanced option, the Sky Glass Gen 2, is also available at a reduced price of £10.25, down from the original £14 per day.

Purchasing the Sky Glass Air means customers pay approximately 14p daily for the 43-inch model, while the Gen 2 costs around 34p. Both models require a financing agreement spread over 48 months and must be combined with a Sky TV package like Essential TV or Ultimate TV. These packages offer access to up to 140 channels, along with complimentary subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+.

Strong Competition and Features

Sky’s promotion is competing with Amazon, which has recently launched a new range of Fire TVs, also with introductory discounts that expire on the same day. The Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED Series starts at £419.99.

Every Sky Glass TV connects via Wi-Fi, eliminating the need for a satellite dish or Sky box, as all channels and applications are integrated. The Sky Glass Air model stands out as a more affordable version that sacrifices some premium features found in the Gen 2 model. Despite this, it retains a 4K HDR Quantum Dot display and a Dolby Audio dual-speaker setup, although it lacks the integrated soundbar present in the Gen 2.

Technology experts at Uswitch have evaluated the Sky Glass Air, noting its impressive specifications despite the lower price. In a YouTube review, they stated, “While the Sky Glass Air is lighter in weight than other models, it’s no lightweight when it comes to tech specs. The 4K Quantum Dot panel gives vivid colours and strong clarity for both streaming and live TV.”

The auto-enhance feature adjusts the picture and sound based on the type of content being viewed. Additionally, the TV offers various picture modes, including Entertainment, Sports, Movies, Music, Vivid, and Extra Vivid. The review highlighted that audio quality is the most significant compromise when comparing the Air to the Gen 2, which is designed for those who prioritize a more immersive audio experience.

For consumers seeking a sleek and visually appealing television that delivers strong audiovisual performance at an affordable price, the Sky Glass Air is an enticing option. However, for gamers or those who take their home cinema experience seriously, investing in the Sky Glass Gen 2 may be worth considering.

As the deadline for these promotions approaches, customers are encouraged to act quickly to take advantage of the significant savings available.
