Right Said Fred to Headline Long Walk Live in Windsor This June

Right Said Fred, the iconic 1990s pop band, has been confirmed as the early evening performers for the upcoming Long Walk Live event in Windsor. Known for their catchy hits such as “I’m Too Sexy,” “Don’t Talk Just Kiss,” and “Deeply Dippy,” the duo will take the stage on June 27, 2024, as part of a two-day music festival celebrating both established artists and local talent.

Long Walk Live, which is set to unfold on June 26 and June 27, aims to deliver an engaging experience to music enthusiasts. Produced by the same team behind the recent local Platinum Jubilee and Coronation celebrations, the festival promises a diverse lineup of headliners, individual performers, and professional tribute acts. All proceeds from the event will support the Windsor community through the Windsor Festival and The Prince Philip Trust Fund.

The Fairbrass brothers, Richard and Fred, who are also Windsor residents, expressed excitement for the event. In a statement, they said, “Having been Berkshire residents for many years, we’re really looking forward to playing on our home turf.” Their performance will be followed by the Boyzlife duo, featuring Keith Duffy from Boyzone and Brian McFadden from Westlife, who will close the evening with a selection of hits from their respective boyband careers.

On Saturday, festivalgoers can also enjoy performances from tribute bands, including a Taylor Swift tribute act named So Taylor and Mattmatics, who will entertain audiences with popular Ed Sheeran songs.

Friday’s lineup features Chesney Hawkes, known for his hit “The One and Only,” along with tribute acts DUA BEYOND and ABBA INFERNO, who will warm up the stage ahead of Hawkes’ performance.

Interest in Long Walk Live has been high, with a limited number of discounted tickets going on sale last December. These tickets quickly sold out, including the golden tickets for both nights. While Early Bird 1 tickets for Saturday have also sold out, festivalgoers can still purchase the limited Early Bird 2 tickets priced at £30 for adults and £15 for children. Additionally, the last discounted Early Bird 1 tickets for Friday are still available, priced at £22.20 for adults and £7.50 for children. Family tickets are also on offer for both days of the festival.
