Artistic Licence is set to present the beloved comedy Noises Off at the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven from February 5 to 7, 2026. This production features a cast entirely composed of local talent from Pembrokeshire, including performers such as Kerry Steed, Marcus Lewis, Alex Jukes, Laura Barrett, Will Oliver, Janine Lewis, Frank Tobin, Hun Benbow, and Chloe Wheeler.
Celebrating 25 years since the National Theatre’s acclaimed production of Michael Frayn’s farcical masterpiece, Artistic Licence aims to deliver its own rendition of what many have hailed as “the greatest farce ever written.” The play is renowned for its intricate plot, featuring slamming doors, flying sardines, and the chaotic antics of a theatre company struggling to keep their performance together—both on stage and behind the scenes.
“Noises Off is a joy to present,” said co-founders Carol Mackintosh, Trisha Biffen, and Marcus Lewis. “It’s one of the funniest plays ever written, and we are thrilled to collaborate with such a talented group of local performers.” Their passion for theatre is evident in their mission to bring classic plays and engaging comedies to local audiences while providing opportunities for Pembrokeshire talent to shine at the region’s only professional theatre venue.
Artistic Licence was established to foster a love for great storytelling and live performance in the Pembrokeshire community. The upcoming production of Noises Off promises to be a delightful experience for anyone with an appreciation for theatre, laughter, and the delightful chaos that often accompanies live performances.
Tickets for the shows are currently available through the Torch Theatre Box Office at 01646 695267 or can be purchased online at torchtheatre.co.uk. For theatre enthusiasts, this production is not to be missed, offering an opportunity to witness local talent bring a classic comedy to life.
