Rushen Primary School in the Isle of Man has officially appointed Adryon Herman as its new head of school, following the recent hiring of a full-time executive head. The position was advertised with a salary range of £77,513 to £89,583. Herman, who has been a part of the school community, previously served as a teacher and most recently managed the school’s Special Provision Centre.
In a statement regarding the appointment, Simon Murphy, the executive head teacher, expressed his confidence in Herman’s abilities. He stated, “I have been consistently impressed by her leadership over the past 18 months and very much look forward to continuing to work alongside her in this new role.” Murphy was appointed executive head teacher for Rushen Primary in November, in addition to his role as head at Scoill Phurt le Moirrey. He noted that one of his initial priorities upon taking his new position was to secure a permanent head of school.
The appointment of Herman is expected to bring continuity and stability to the school, particularly as it transitions under the leadership of Murphy. As the educational landscape continues to evolve, the leadership team aims to enhance the learning environment for students at Rushen Primary.
Herman’s experience within the school and her commitment to its values are anticipated to play a significant role in driving educational excellence in the coming years. The community and staff are looking forward to her contributions as they work together to support the school’s mission and goals.
