Data Transmission Halted at Air Quality Station in Pljevlja

The transmission of data from the air quality monitoring station located at Gagovića Imanje in Pljevlja has been disrupted. According to the Agency for Environmental Protection, the interruption occurred on December 10, 2023, at 13:00 local time.

A team from the Center for Ecotoxicological Testing (CETI) promptly assessed the situation. They confirmed that all measuring equipment and instruments were functioning normally and that the power supply was stable. The issue was traced to a problem with the internet connection, specifically insufficient signal strength preventing the transmission of collected data to the central server.

Despite attempts to reset the data transmission system, the connection has not yet been re-established. The agency clarified that all measurement data continues to be collected and securely stored in the internal memory of the station’s data logger.

Once a regular internet connection is restored, all stored data will be transmitted to the server and made publicly accessible. The agency is actively working with the internet provider to resolve the connectivity issue as quickly as possible.

This situation highlights the importance of reliable internet access for environmental monitoring, as uninterrupted data flow is crucial for assessing air quality and ensuring public health.
