A British tourist was stabbed during a confrontation outside a beach club in Phuket, Thailand, early this morning. The victim, identified as Louis Johe Jarvie, sustained a knife wound to his right arm after allegedly engaging in a fight with a large foreign man at Bang Tao Beach, a popular area frequented by international visitors.
Emergency services received the call shortly after midnight on July 7, 2025. Than Sirichai, a volunteer paramedic, reported the situation upon arrival. “We found a British man sitting on the ground, barely conscious and in need of immediate medical attention,” he stated. Jarvie was subsequently transported to Thalang Hospital where he is currently recovering from his injuries.
Witnesses at the scene described seeing a large foreign man stab Jarvie in the arm before fleeing the area. Local authorities are actively working to locate the suspect, who vanished before police arrived. A police statement noted, “The victim is now feeling better but is not ready to respond,” indicating that while Jarvie is improving, he remains under observation.

Lt Col Kittipong acknowledged challenges in obtaining a clear description of the assailant due to poor visibility at the beach during the incident.
