The road segment connecting Slijepački Most to Berane has been successfully completed, measuring a total length of 35 kilometers. Engineer Irfan Alomerović from the construction company Bemax announced that the project faced significant challenges but was finalized within the planned timeframe.
The construction involved extensive work, including a complete reconstruction of the road surface, the renovation of a tunnel, rehabilitation of seven bridges, drainage regulation, and stabilization of landslides and slopes. Alomerović emphasized the complexities of the project, stating that the team managed to overcome difficulties posed by the challenging terrain, tight deadlines, and high traffic volume.
“Despite the difficult conditions, we completed the planned works as scheduled,” Alomerović said. “Today, we have a modern main road that meets all standards and regulations.” His remarks highlight the dedication and expertise required to deliver such an ambitious project successfully.
In expressing gratitude, Alomerović acknowledged the support of investors, supervisors, subcontractors, and all participants involved in the project. He also thanked the local community for their understanding and patience during the construction process, which he described as crucial to the project’s success.
The completion of this key road segment is expected to enhance connectivity in the region, facilitating smoother transport and potentially stimulating local economic growth. The upgraded infrastructure aligns with ongoing efforts to improve road safety and accessibility for residents and travelers alike.
