After the game, Budućnost’s head coach, Andrej Žakelj, praised his team’s performance and approach. “When we woke up after a few minutes, I think we played a good game in terms of approach and concentration,” he stated. Žakelj acknowledged that preparing for this match was challenging, given Mega’s strong basketball style. “We respected our agreement, and what we did today was truly good. This was a deserved victory for us, and I would also like to congratulate Mega, which has played several matches at a really high level this season,” he added.

He remarked, “It is clear that Budućnost deserved to win. In all segments of the game, they had a better ratio than we did. This is a team made up of good, experienced players who know how to play at this level, particularly in terms of defensive and offensive solidity.” Avdalović reflected on his team’s performance, noting that they only played the first part of the game as they intended, with Budućnost dominating thereafter.
