URGENT UPDATE: Thrill-seekers are gearing up to zipline dressed as Father Christmas in a heartwarming event to benefit children battling cancer. The Santa Flights event will take place at Hangloose Adventure, located in Bluewater Shopping Centre, Greenhithe, on December 15.
This thrilling zipline experience, which spans an impressive 720 meters, aims to raise funds for BLAZE Charity, an organization founded by instructors Ellen and Owen Shaw in memory of their brother Benjamin, who tragically lost his battle with a rare brain tumor in 2021 at just 11 years old.
Brian Phelps, managing director of Hangloose, emphasized the significance of this event, stating, “Our Santa Flight at Bluewater has a really special meaning for the team. Supporting BLAZE Charity allows us to contribute to an important cause that affects families profoundly.”
The charity is dedicated to funding vital research into childhood brain tumors, raising awareness of early symptoms, and providing essential support and experiences for families impacted by these devastating conditions.
Tickets for the event are priced at £40, with 50% of the proceeds going directly to BLAZE. Notable participants include kmfm presenters Ben Pearce and Jack Burke, who will zoom down the zipline at speeds reaching up to 50 mph.
Participants will be provided with festive Santa suits and can choose to zipline solo or side-by-side. There will also be accessible slots for guests with disabilities or those requiring additional assistance, allowing their carers to join for free.
Tickets can be purchased directly through the Hangloose Bluewater website. Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference while experiencing an unforgettable thrill.
Join the excitement and support a noble cause this holiday season! Share the news and spread the word about the Santa Flights as we come together to create lasting memories for families in need.
