BREAKING: Former actor John Alford has died in prison, just two months after being sentenced for sexually assaulting two teenage girls. Alford, known for his roles in London’s Burning and Grange Hill, was serving an eight-and-a-half year sentence at HMP Bure in Norfolk when he passed away on Friday.

Alford maintained his innocence during the trial, claiming the allegations were “scandalous” and a “set-up,” asserting that there was no DNA evidence to corroborate the claims. Notably, he had a history of legal troubles, having previously been convicted in 1999 for supplying drugs to a journalist known as the “fake sheikh,” resulting in a nine-month prison sentence.
