Knežević Reveals Alleged Message from Marković Regarding DPS

Milan Knežević, leader of the Democratic People’s Party (DNP), has publicly shared an alleged message from Duško Marković, the leader of the Party of European Progress (SEP), directed at Podgorica’s mayor, Saša Mujović. In the message, Marković reportedly advises Mujović to disregard the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and suggests that he can rely on Marković’s support.

In a video address, Knežević expressed grave concern for Mujović’s mental and physical well-being. He stated, “The reason for today’s communication is a serious human concern for the health of former mayor Saša Mujović.” Knežević emphasized that Mujović’s past affiliation with the DPS should not come as a surprise.

He elaborated on Mujović’s reaction to criticisms regarding his ties to the DPS, recounting incidents where Mujović allegedly filed lawsuits against party members who confronted him with evidence of his participation in DPS meetings. “You know how those lawsuits ended, but what you may not know is that Mujović called Duško Marković as a witness against the DPS,” Knežević added, referring to Marković’s prominent political background as a former Prime Minister and Minister of Justice.

Knežević claimed that Mujović has attempted to rehabilitate his image by seeking support from Marković. He stated, “Mujović sent him a message to cleanse his biography.” The DNP leader insisted that he did not employ hackers to obtain this correspondence and assured the public that the messages are accessible to anyone interested.

The DNP leader further pointed out that it is evident Mujović has been manipulated by Marković, describing him as “Marković’s wing within the DPS.” He remarked on the irony of being defended by Marković, questioning Mujović’s integrity in using this connection as evidence of his innocence. Knežević concluded by suggesting that Mujović’s recent efforts to collaborate with Marković’s party indicate a strategic alliance aimed at consolidating political power.

This unfolding situation highlights the complex political dynamics in Montenegro, particularly the shifting allegiances among its political figures. The relationship between the DNP and the SEP may prove significant as both parties navigate the current political landscape. As the situation develops, attention will remain focused on how these interactions will influence Montenegro’s governance and party alignments.
