West Ham United has confirmed the signing of 22-year-old winger Keiber Lamadrid on loan from Venezuelan club Deportivo La Guaira. The loan agreement will last until the end of the current season, with the Hammers reportedly holding an option to make the transfer permanent.
Lamadrid, who plays as a left winger, made his international debut for the Venezuelan national team in November 2025. He will initially join West Ham’s development squad to enhance his fitness following the conclusion of the LIGAFUTVE season in December.
Lamadrid’s Ambitions and Gratitude
Upon his signing, Lamadrid expressed his excitement about joining West Ham, stating, “It’s an incredible opportunity to be here at this beautiful club. I thank God first of all, and all the people who helped me get here. I also thank my family, who always supported me. For me, it’s a dream to be here.”
He further emphasized his desire to grow both as a person and as a player during his time at the club. “I want to adapt as quickly as possible, to continue growing as a player and open doors again for Venezuelan football. Nothing is impossible,” he added.
West Ham’s Transfer Activity
This move marks West Ham’s third signing during the January transfer window, following the arrivals of strikers Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe. With the team currently sitting five points from safety in the league, manager Nuno Espírito Santo remains determined to bolster the squad and improve their chances of avoiding relegation.
As the January window progresses, West Ham fans will be eager to see how Lamadrid integrates into the team and contributes to their campaign. The club’s proactive approach in the transfer market highlights their commitment to strengthening the squad and enhancing performance as they strive to climb the league table.
