BREAKING: Two men are in the hospital following a shooting in Bexleyheath early Sunday morning, January 4, 2024, prompting an urgent police investigation. Emergency services were called to Broadway around 2:15 AM after reports of gunfire.
Both men, aged 30 and 35, were treated at the scene by ambulance crews and paramedics before being rushed to the hospital. The 30-year-old suffered a gunshot wound, and his condition remains unclear. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated, “On Sunday, 4 January at 02:15hrs, police responded to reports of a shooting on Broadway, Bexleyheath. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, who treated a 30-year-old man for a gunshot wound before transporting him to the hospital. We await an update on his condition.”
The London Ambulance Service confirmed they were alerted at 2:10 AM and dispatched multiple resources, including ambulance crews and a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance. Their spokesperson noted, “We treated two individuals and took them to the hospital.”
