The Bondi Beach attack occurred shortly before 19:00 local time, targeting a crowd of over 1,000 people who had gathered to celebrate Hanukkah. Among the deceased were a ten-year-old girl, a Holocaust survivor, and a long-serving rabbi. The police responded quickly, killing one of the attackers on-site, while the second suspect, identified as Naveed Akram, was critically injured and captured.
